What's built up as a big confrontation between Jesse and God ends up being a more domestic heart-to-heart between Jesse and Cassidy, in the only way he knows how. Because the grandiose, high concept aspects of the story don't matter at the end of the day if the characters inhabiting the story aren't a through line. It's been seven years since I finished the series the first time around, and back then I said I had rarely found an ending to a series so satisfying. Almost a decade later, I still find this to be true. Preacher is a lot of things, but it's never boring.

A great series overall!!! Packed with heaps of action, drama and story. The ending was a bit flat but the story overall needed to end. It was fitting in a way because everyone got what they deserved. There were some funny bits and moments that made me go WOW and reminded me why I loved the series as a whole.
