It was an okay finale.

Omg!!! That was the perfect ending to a perfect story! Damien and Nikki are one of my favorite couples and I loved everything about their story. I am so sad that it's ended but I'm glad it ended the way it did. Perfect! I'm going to have to Reread this series soon. Beautiful!

This was a quick and easy read but was interesting and kept my attention.

This was a wonderfully done epilogue for Damien and Nikki - what I really LOVED was that it wasn't all hearts and roses (it would be wildflowers at any rate), and it didn't end as so many trilogies do now with all their dreams coming true (wedded bliss, perfect jobs, kids, etc). In true Damien and Nikki style, things kinda go wrong, Nikki procrastinates creating her stress, and her mom is the ever remaining bitch of all bitches and manages to have on impact on Nikki's wedding. This epilogue/novella, on the whole, is completely reflective of their courtship. Nikki continues to fights her demons and Damien laments the loss faith in those who remind him of his childhood and dreams.

The ending was perfect...with not everything happening as planned, but it happening none the less.

Okay, I was completely clueless about there being a novella in the "Stark Trilogy", which is now, technically, no longer a trilogy with the release of the novella (hahaha!). Thank goodness I saw my friend's GR review and rating for it or I would have continued being in the dark. Hehe.

"Take Me" takes place during Damien Stark and Nikki Fairchild's engagement. The steamy scenes are definitely still there (sizzle, sizzle!) and Nikki being able to overcome her issues with her overbearing and bitchy mother were high points. I did find myself wondering about the very first chapter (Nikki's nightmare) because it was never fully analyzed or dealt with, other than with Damian's assumption of pre-wedding jitters and Nikki not being sure if Damian was right or not.

Fans of the series will enjoy this novella, though I feel it wasn't absolutely necessary since the third book wrapped Damien and Nikki's story quite nicely as it was. However, I did like "Take Me" and am looking forward to reading J. Kenner's next series, "Wanted", starring Evan Black (Damien's friend).

"Take Me" gets four stars and the overall series gets a 4.5 out of five from me. ♥

Loved these books.

Loved this book. I wrapped up things very nicely. It also made me want to read the next series she does with the new guy

A nice ending to the Stark Trilogies.

Here Comes the... Mother of the Bride?

4.5 stars - Nikki and Damien give whole new meaning to the words sizzling and explosive! Their relationship is as solid as ever and the chemistry continues to shine on the pages. As they embark on the legal joining of their partnership, hiccups continue to occur but together they can conquer anything - even Nikki's horrible mother (and she IS horrible) - and have the wedding they both want.

UPDATED 5/2022:
This is the second time, I think, that I've read this. Well, really, this time I listened. But alas, it's the last audio in the series that my local library has on offer so I'll be switching to my books (they're so pretty on my shelf).

I really do love how Damien and Nikki have formed a partnership. Sure, she's not always 100% upfront with him about how the wedding planning is going - at the same time, that's never been his MO either - but they read each other well and find a way to be there when it counts.

I've mentioned this in the other three books of the series but I shall repeat myself. Sofia Willingham sounds EXACTLY as I've imagined Nikki all of these years. She does a good job with Damien but it's not as I expected him to sound.

Den afrundede historien perfekt! Jeg elsker historien om Damien og Nikki, og mit romantiske hjerte glædes rigtig meget ved at have læst denne afslutning.
