"More political fodder, but this time with a warm, fuzzy feeling. Literally. Rabbits in search of a new warren meet lots of other rabbits with different leadership ideals. Quite by coincidence, I named my new cat Hazel just a few days before opening this book. Feels like a confirmation by fate when the main character's name is the same as what you just named your cat. Good omens for my kitty."

The El-ahrairah stories were very curious and whimsical but my favourite part was the further adventures of the Watership Down rabbits. One thing I didn't expect was the amount of mysticism and psychological horror, even by watership standards!

I loved the stories that Hazel, Bigwig and company. But 2/3 of the stories in this collection are El-Ahrairah stories. I read about half of those, which certainly exhibit great creativity, but tired of those when I’d gotten through half of them.
