Throughout this entire book, I was left in a near-constant state of teary eyes. My heart ached for Ella and her situation, all the while Cinder lifted not only her, but also my mood. Incredible book that turns all your emotions inside out.

Aj po druhýkrát som si to fakt užila a všetko prežívala. Brian je perfektný. (Aj keď nie ako Rhysand.) Len nechápem, prečo musel náš vlak prísť do Trnavy cez tú najnapínavejšiu scénu. Som skoro rozmýšľala, že sa až do Blavy odveziem. (Miesto toho som to čítala cestou, lebo sa od toho nedalo odlepiť.
Milujem to.

This retelling was good. The elements of Cinderella were there, and I liked it. Unfortunately, I’m not a fan of the story’s execution. I loved that the story brought something different like mental health and accident. But the whole family’s issue didn’t sit right with me. I didn’t like Ella’s father made it look like her stepmother and stepsisters had an excuse to bully her. Also, he said they saved him before and made him feel loved. While that might be true, it didn’t give him an excuse to let them treat Ella poorly. And Ella just accepted them? I was hoping there would be more exploration in this one. The moment she met Brian was also flat. I was excited about the idea, but again, not a fan of how it happened. Overall, it was a good read for me.
