I enjoyed this book but felt there could’ve been more emotional growth between the main characters
They’re relationship didn’t seem to develop or change much from the beginning and I’m hoping that changes going into the second book

Dark and Intriguing but so full of wonder and I can’t wait to see how these 2 star crossed people turn what started when they were kids into something that can be better! They are battling some seriously bad bumps in the road but I still have hope that in the second book they will figure it all out.
I so need more! That ending left me dying for more. I really enjoyed reading this story. It was dark and intriguing and I was completely captivated. I did not want to put this book down, because I wanted to see what would happen next and how these characters would react. I was simultaneously frustrated and fascinated by these characters. I definitely hope I get to see a little more growth in their relationship. I could see their chemistry, but I am excited to see more be revealed. I am loving this all so far.

Wow that a hot steamy dark read that will have you hot and wanting from this alpha male. This is a rude hot man that is a controlled issues and is wanting his justice throughout this book. This is a must read book.
DNF @ 17%. I’m supposed to believe a 25yo, coming from nothing, is so successful he owns multiple nightclubs, has a private jet, can loan out millions, and has enough influence to kidnap a woman screaming in a coffee shop without anyone doing anything?
Rich or not, Easton comes across as delusional, not domineering or sexy or whatever. I get dark romance. But this is like calling Silence of the Lambs dark romance...”it will put the lotion on or it will get the hose!”

I really wanted to enjoy this one a bit more. I think the reader was asked to suspend reality a little too much. I wanted to like Charlotte, but, even though she wants freedom, which is understandable, she starts to get annoying. The reasons Easton is mad at her make no sense. You have to assume that a man who was able to build a thriving business so quickly (timeline doesn’t make sense either) would be, at the very least, intelligent, yet he holds things against Charlotte that are out of her control. Also, how is he really getting back at her father by taking her? Her father was always planning to pawn her off for the sake of his business.
