This book was nteresting. I am not into historycal books, but this one caught my attention. It's a short story, but hey, the relationship between the two main characters and the chemistry was absolutely awesome.

Pretty straightforward HR. Nothing bad and nothing too good. It totally lacked something, some spice to make it more interesting. Same old, same old predictable...

"DANCING WITH THE DUKE is a short prequel novella in Suzanna Medeiros's LANDING A LORD series.
She's loved him for years...
Charlotte Grant can't remember a time when she didn't love her best friend's older brother.
He's never noticed her ...
The Duke of Clarington hadn't spared a thought for his sister's friend in years.
Their situations are about to be reversed...
It is the beginning of a new Season and Clarington intends to stay away from all the young ladies and eager mamas hoping to ensnare a duke. But that plan falls into tatters when his mother sponsors his sister's friend and enlists him to dance with her at Almack's. The beautiful vixen he meets that night bears little resemblance to the shy, gangly girl who used to follow him around. Now, instead of avoiding Charlotte, he finds himself frustrated when she seems to notice everyone but him." (From Amazon)
I enjoyed this historical romance novella...a great promise to a new series.

Actually, this one wasn't bad for a free novella on Amazon. No muss, no fuss, no subplots, no nothing, just some of the basic scenes you see in Society romance novels strung together and written in a fairly decent way.

This is not suitable for Christian readers. While the author does a fair job of writing out the storyline, I would have placed more focus on flirting and developing a realistic romance and left out the sexual stuff.

a nice easy read, not a whole lot happens in this book. In Summary, Charlotte has been in love with Alex since she was a little girl, though due to age an Charlotte being a late bloomer Alex has never given her a second though. Now 7 years after Charlotte and Alex have last seen each other, in a last chance effort Charlotte plots with Alex's sister to get him to notice her. And while at first all efforts seem to be for not, Alex soon finds himself infatuated.
(not the best summary but then not a lot happens!)

It was ok. I just didn't like the heroine that much so I gave it a two. I liked Lucy though :p
