The second book in the series is just as good as the first one. I was excited to learn more about the ghosts in the graveyard and Kiera's past and now I want more! I love reading books by Darcy Coates and I'm excited to read more from this author.

The Ravenous Dead by Darcy Coates picks up hours after the first book. Keira is trying to get to know the ghosts in the cemetery so she can help them cross over. She finds that something awful is lurking in the woods and it is growing stronger. She has figure out how to stop it before it devours the whole town. These books are categorized as horror, but I would say they are more mystery than horror. They lack the creepy scare factor that has been in other Darcy Coates books I have read. It kind of reads like a young adult book. I do love these characters. There was one plot hole in this book that really bothered me. There are a lot of different storylines thrown in and it seems like a bit much at times. This one was still fun and had laugh out loud moments. Overall, not my favorite, but I liked it. 3/5 stars.
