⭐⭐⭐ — I freaking LOVE the cover on this one!
This one turned out to be just okay for me. It wasn't a bad book by any means. I just found it a little on the boring side. Perhaps this is because I haven't read the first book? That said, I enjoyed the characters and their banter. And the setting was very cool and suitably creepy. I am on the fence on if I will read book 3 or pass.

In this second installment of The Gravekeeper Series, Kiera is now living in the cottage by the graveyard and is being paid to help the citizens of the land to pass over. Kiera is still learning the extent of her abilities and is now faced with an even more complicated spirit as well as the people who continue to hunt her and others from Blighty who are not happy with her staying in town. Luckily Kiera continues to have her new friends and her clumsy yet intuitive cat to help her along the way.
I was a big fan of the second book and this series in general. The story picked up hours from where we left off last time so there was nothing to catch up on. We got a few more hints about Kiera's past and her pursuers; however it was definitely not the focus of the story.
Kiera's friends continue to lighten up the story and we even have a painfully turtle crawl slow burn romance developing.
I like how the books have all been focused on solving the mystery of a particular ghost and I think this one was better than the last. There were some good creepy scenes and while it did get gory at times the humor and character dialogue saved it from getting too dark.
If you love a good ghost story give these a read. I wish I didn't have to wait until 2023 for the next one!
