This book was a rollercoaster of emotions. Aftervy's past and seeing her become a fantastic person pretty much all by herself was heartwarming reading about me. Not only that, I loved how protective Aiden is of Ivy and how wholesome their relationship is. I 100% recommend this book!

I enjoyed this, but it was a little slow. I appreciate the attention to detail that the author put into this. 3.5/5 I may try to read again at another time

I can’t say that I loved this book, but I didn’t hate it either. It was just extremely Mediocre.
Ivy was a bit of an all-over-the-place kind of character and some of the things she said and did didn’t match what she was essentially trying to do because of her trauma etc. There are a lot of key elements of the book that we don’t get much insight on which made me feel like a lot of it was surface level.
THE REASON THIS GOT 3 STARS THOUGH WAS AIDEN. Boy was he a good male love interest. Pining over her the whole time, patient, understanding but with the right amount of sternness so she doesn’t let herself go under. Ugh what a good character AND HIS MOM was just such an icon.
Overall, felt like it was surface level a lot of the time when it came to Ivy and her backstory but Aiden and his mom are the only reason this got the 3 stars it did.

Had I read this a few years ago, I think I would have adored it. But the person I am now and what I look for in books has changed and this just missed the mark for me a bit. It's well done, but dark, and in a way I struggled to connect with the characters. I got on better with it then further I got, and I really liked the ending.
So a good read, just not really something I enjoy so much these days with the heavy angst.

I was honestly so tired of the back and forth with the FMC. She was a jerk yes but not just because of her circumstances but she was just a complete a-hole. Honestly if she had been best friends with Aiden and didn’t hold a grudge she shouldn’t have treated him like trash and I was just tired of it. It was so boring
