If there was one thing I related to in the FMC is the SH. And I think that was done really well.

At first, I thought maybe it wasn’t the best idea to read it with my past, but I loved how it wasn’t just one dimensional problem. It showed the real side of having a past with self-harm. The want to do it again, the guilt. Hit the nail right on the head at times.

But besides that, this book was really good and well written. The characters all had their own goals and personality. Nothing repetitive happened. A solid read.

The one who got away...

Well, more accurately ran away.

Ivy was drowning in the contempt and anger swirling in her house. Living in that kind of hostile environment makes lasting trauma. Enough so that a young girl ran away and bately survived.

Seeing him again is difficult. He was her everything. She left him behind. But they both know ignoring it won't maje it go away.

Aiden has no intention of letting her go again. He Dare(s) You (Her) to Hate Me.

Intense and real. DARE YOU TO HATE ME is a rough around the edges and realistic story. I found Aiden and Ivy to be perfect for each other and you will too!

I enjoyed this book, it was a bit darker and twistier than I expected but enjoyed the love story and characters nonetheless. And you already know I’m all about a football player.

Didn't like the ending because she apologized to her parents when they should've been begging on their knees for her forgiveness. Idc what mistakes she's made as a child, she was A CHILD. And you treat kids with love. Not the fucking way she was treated. Maybe she wasn't abused physically, but everything her mom ever said to her is 100% emotional abuse. She made Ivy feel unlovable and unworthy.

This felt very similar to ‘Enemies’ by Tijan. I definitely enjoyed the book but it felt very drawn out at times. Around 60% I just wanted it to end already. It was a cute college football romance with the friends-to-lovers trope but it wasn’t anything unique or new. It was just alright.

I really liked this book in the beginning! However, it did kind of lose me in the middle.

I hate to say she was right that she should have never ran away. Which is not to say her parents weren’t shit because they absolutely were and she deserved so much better. But it just breaks my heart what she went through when she could have stayed and been with Aiden.

This book was a little anti-climatic.
