Honestly, I was excited for to read this and then it all went downhill. Nothing really made sense, Ivy was almost intolerable, and it was just EH overall
10% plot, 90% absolute nonsense. I dislike this more and more as time goes on. I basically skimmed the last 30%
3.5/4⭐
This one fell flat for me. I was expecting a bit more from this book but im not sure if this was my slump talking because I felt I would've probably enjoyed much more if I wasn't in a bit of a slump.

Celeste write from a raw, and gritty place that makes the reader feel every life moment if her characters.
Aiden and Ivy have a history that no oneat their college would believe. Aiden is the only person Ivy has ever been able to rely on, and after leaving home at young age they haven't talked in years. Finding each other at the same college is a serendipitous moment. These two need to learn to trust each other fully in order to move on from the past.
This book will bring all the emotions. Be ready to cry, cheer, and have frustration that leaves you experiencing every moment between Ivy and Aiden. Celeste does a wonderful job pulling the reader in with her ability to evoke different emotions, and scene descriptions.

This was just okay. Aiden was a nice guy hero, and Ivy had some history she was going through. But I was a little bored. This is why sometimes friends to lovers doesn't work for me. There was no chemistry or tension. While there was an important story to tell about Ivy's struggle, it felt not fleshed out and felt not well executed.

4 ⭑ “I dare you to hate me, Ivy. Because we both know you don’t. You couldn’t even if you tried.” where do a woman go to find her own aiden griffith these days??
DNF @ 20%, I just couldn’t be bothered with all the trauma and angst tbh
