I do love going into books with little to no knowledge of the book because I’m often pleasantly surprised. I read the blurb of this book and it sounded good so I decided to read it! While I enjoyed this book, it never truly hooked me which is why it got 4 stars.
I loved the emotions behind the story and the friendship of Aiden and Ivy, it was the perfect childhood friends to lovers and reminded that while I don’t like this trope, it can be done well, and this is a great example of that.
Aiden and Ivy were meant for each other and I love the secrets and relationship that builds after they reconnect during college. Their childhood friendship was strong, but this one is built on full communication and honesty and that is what made their relationship so strong.
I loved the build up of Ivy and her story as the conflict rather than the relationship itself, it was a creative story and surprised me in the way it planned out!

If there's one thing you can expect from B.Celeste books is being hit hard from the start breaching those hard topics before a time jump in the second chapter. At least in the Lindon U series so far. Ivy has dealt with some tough times and asked her childhood friend to run away with her but with his football career, she knew it wouldn't happen. Years later they wind up in the same college together and that's Lindon U. One thing I loved about this book was the house dynamic Aiden shares with his roommates and how they quickly welcome Ivy into it. After reading this book and the second, I'm not a huge fan of their coach apart from helping Aiden achieve his dreams. Overall, I enjoyed reading their dynamic and continue rooting for them.

Enjoyed
I enjoyed reading the story of the journey of their friendship and love. Like how it covered a lot of their time together. The story came alive from the beginning until the end!

I wanted something different, and I came across this book not knowing the author or the narrator but thought why not?
I really enjoyed the characters learning Chaos’ struggles and how she is the way she is. How one boy took a chance and befriended her. That friendship becomes a lifeline, and yrs later just when she thought she would never see him again he walks back into her life.
I loved his reaction, how he does what he needs to, to make sure she is safe just like he had been doing all her life.
I just enjoyed the story and the narration. I needed something different and that is exactly what I got.

Thank you Bloom Books for my gifted copy in exchange for an honest review!!
What a great second chance sports romance!! This definitely had a lot of angst and tension. The first chapter set the tone of the story and the difficulties Ivy has been through. There were lots of heavy topics, but it was handled well between the two MCs. I loved getting to know Aiden and seeing him through his friends eyes. I will definitely be reading the next in the series!
