Perhaps not her most baffling mystery, but definitely a page turner and well written. It has some definite moments that make it well worth the read.

Agatha Christie had such a way of getting me hooked. I try to figure out who the guilty party is, fail, and then come running back for more. Here, Hercule Poirot, is again besieged by suspects in a murder, and more, on his holiday down the Nile. The plot is intricate but not overwhelming. The crime is interesting and not exactly as one expects. The characters are a treat. Overall, a delight.

A cruise on The Nile with a wealthy young heiress and her new husband, a scorned ex friend, a man and his mother, a mother and her daughter, an archeologist, a doctor, a colonel and Hercules Poirot, what could possibly go wrong?

It was so interesting seeing Poirot being there before the crime happened and the way he interacted with the people involved before the murder, it gave an extra inside that was very interesting.

I really enjoyed how this mystery unfolded, I was surprised by some twists which I always do when it's an Agatha Christie mystery. This truly was a page turner.
