This book started off slow for me. I much preferred the last third or half of the book. Yara has issues, obviously, but I somewhat felt like the source of her issues was unnecessary if that makes any sense. I say that, but I'm sure if the source of her issues was never mentioned I would probably be here saying why wasnt the source ever explained.

Unfortunately I wasn't invested in these character so thats why this wasn't a LOVE, but it's definitely a good book. The two main characters reminded me of another book, not the plot just the characters. So I was having a hard time picturing the story in my head. I can relate to the pushing someone away or good things away because you dont think you deserve them or you think you'll ruin things and I think thats something a lot of people can relate to.

I think this is a solid read.

Love

I definitely have a new favorite Fisher book. The emotion in this book is so raw and so real. Yara and David. Sigh.

Second time reading and I still fall in love with Yara, David, and their story

This book really takes you on a journey of loving someone in the good times and the bad. They way that the story takes you through their relationship was like being on a roller coaster. Everyone should have a David !

I suck at reviews but every book lover should read this book!

"My drug was wanderlust."

Pretty cover. Just not a story I enjoyed. I didn't like Yara or David - neither had redeeming qualities or were the kind of people I'd even want to be friends with. The writing style had a way of being both too detached and too flowery and poetic to ever pull me in to the story or their life dramas. Petra was just an annoying distraction and Yara's last words to her were laughable.

Just not my kind of story.

It started off a little slow but picked up. Not a typical romance novel but more real to me. Tarryn did excellent with showing the different characters emotions.

Wow

I loved David and Yara. Their story was full of so much emotion. The book was amazing. I couldn't put it down. This author knows how to tug on your heartstrings. The ending sort of stopped short but still ended on a HAE. Definitely recommend.

I wanted to love this book but I just didn’t. Yara is annoying and selfish and I couldn’t find anything redeeming in her
