Took me a while to get into this one, but oh boy once it got going...
Impressively cramming character-focused fantasy, epic ancient worldbuilding, sci-fi, and eldritch horror all into one, this is such an interesting and unique trilogy so far. At the same time it invokes the feeling of a classic heroic fantasy full of adventure and discovery. While it took longer to get invested in, I think I enjoyed this more than book 1, and I'm damn excited to get into book 3 soon.

Every POV had me shaking my head and commenting how "This is so fishy!" One of my favorite things! And the author is a champion at leaving clues that make you feel pretty accomplished when your theories turn out.
Also,finally some Aldasair and Bern content! Lots of book stress to get to that point though!
