oof the second part hit so hard.

i‘ve kind of falling off the wagon the past two years and been using some nestle related products that i’d been boycotting for years since i was a teen (skincare products by la roche posay) but this was a perfect reminder.

food industry under imperialism is dangerous and actively targeting marginalised groups in ways that are simply disgusting while knowingly destroying the planet in unprecedented ways.
we deserve better and as someone who can make choices about what i eat, i will once again be focusing on these choices aligning with my politics and moral compass while impatiently urging for system changes that put people over profits.

also grateful to finally get an explanation of why pringles and other popular upf do the things they do.

thanks to this book for the much needed reminder.  it is quite accessible and van tulleken is a great narrator (fast talker, good humour).
