3.5 stars, rounded up.
Cute lil shifter fake dating romance with grumpy sunshine main characters.
I typically find fake dating tropes to be pretty corny, but the alpha/omega dynamic in this book made it enjoyable for me.

Fake dating, wolf shifters, omegaverse, and grumpy sunshine? Yes, please! I absolutely adored Mackenzie! She’s an omega with a sassy, funny, and witty personality, and she has a knack for getting under Noah’s skin. Her humorous remarks had me laughing out loud.

Noah, a grumpy cardiologist hiding his alpha designation, needs a “mate” to secure his position at the hospital, while Mack needs a boyfriend to stop her grandmother from setting her up on terrible dates. So, they decide to become fake mates to help each other out.

Even though medical romances aren’t usually my go-to, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The characters were fantastic, and the plot kept me engaged from start to finish.

All in all, another great release from Lana Ferguson and I can’t wait for her next read.

OH MY GOD.

Well in case I was not sure - I'm absolutely into shifter romance. I literally couldn't stop reading this - I was fighting sleep trying to finish it last night. I adored this all the through. The romance between grumpy Noah and sweet sunshine MacKenzie. Fated mates and a third act break up that I was ~ okay ~ with because it fit the plot.

I found this to be super cringe with minimal plot and I got to a point where I just couldn't finish it.
