Single mom meets cute orc neighbour who wants nothing to do with humans but ends up falling in love either way, do I need to say more? The whole story was super sweet to read and made me feel all cozy inside.

The way I love Trogar and his little OCD tendencies 🥲

I need a book about his brother asap

This book is related to the Fairview series which is about the residents of Fairhaven in a world when mythical creatures are real and co-exist with humans in relative harmony. I personally found the portrayal of the town and everyone in it to be so realistic and so great that I found myself wishing that I could move there myself. The story did focus on the couple as much as it did on the world building however so it was not overpowering and you were throughout introduced to relevant characters to further books.

In this particular book the author focuses on an orc who wants nothing to do with the single mother who has recently moved into the neighborhood. The two characters have a lot issues that they have to work through together, making you cheer and hope that they would be a success throughout. The only reason that I didn't give this story 5 stars is that it was very predictable and although there was a chance that the two people would not end up together you were often left wondering if it wasn't inevitable. There was some suspense in this with the child however the story from that plot felt under developed and it could have been because of the number of pages that the author was trying to complete the story in.

It was cute except for 2 ick factors that ruined it for me.
1) MMC was "excited" by watching FMC breastfeed. Breastfeeding isn't sexual.
2) SFC "I think your daughter (a couple months old) is flirting with my husband." SMC "you know how i can't refuse a good girl." Sexual innuendo while holding and referencing a baby. Both comments were gross.
FMC way too readily trusted an unknown male with her daughter for someone running from another man.
