The way the importance of art in society is out lined in this book is unreal so good. Makes you think and reflect about our world/leaders.
emotional mysterious tense fast-paced

Such an interesting premise. I just want more character development, especially for the side characters.

If life was measured by the lessons I’ve learned, I would be immortal.

I LOVE Dystopian books and this one absolutely delivered for me. I honestly can't even begin to describe how much I loved this. I didn't want it to end I was reading slower than normal to truly savour it.

The dynamic between Takeshi and Khalani - loved it. Their chemistry and banter was incredible. And the TENSION. SO good.

The storyline was really good too, kept a great pace with no lulls.

If you love Dystopian books, enemies to lovers and all things good- you have to check this out!

I really enjoyed this one! Definitely check your trigger warnings, this one get's very dark at times, but I really enjoyed being with Khalani and working through her trauma with her. I felt like her character growth was really well done. I also loved the found family aspect of this one, especially Winnie 😭

I do wish we got a bit more time with Khalani and Takeshi, I felt like they didn't really get a chance to grow their relationship before Takeshi was doing things he could get in big trouble for just because he felt a pull towards her. But in the end I was all in and I'm really rooting for these two characters!

Also, that ending was great. I was gripping the steering wheel listening to the end of this one, and I was stressing! I'm really excited to see where the second book takes us, and I'm excited to spend more time with all of these characters!
