I am obsessed with Leann Rimes, and this particular book was made into a movie with her in it. I got the movie for Christmas this past year as a present. I loved the movie so much I decided to read the book and my first Nora Roberts novel. I absolutely was not in any way shape or form disappointed with the book. I have gone to thrift stores to buy more Nora Roberts novels and can not wait to read more from her!

Gara - gara nih film (ceritanya buku ini dibikin film gitu) si dua pemeran utamanya, LeAnn Rimes sama Eddie Cibrian malah kena CLBK. Dan akhirnya selingkuh dari pasangan masing - masing. Selanjutnya bisa ditebak mereka cerai deh :D

Lah, malah gosip :P

Pasti deh disensor, hmpfh

As always with Nora,  i love the setting, i love the characters. This book felt like a hug- but still a murder mystery. For when this was published, i was surprised to see any sort of mental health representation.

I loved Meg's character, she's crass, she's harsh, she's unapologetically herself, she's dry and she's just awesome.

Something that happens and adds to the murder mystery was really hard for me to read and it felt really unnecessary in my opinion so that's really the main thing that took away from this for me.

Nora Roberts wrote the first romance book I ever read, so in my mind, I love her books, however, I haven’t read any in a while.

Focusing on this book, I didn’t like the writing style. It was very grand, with big speeches and lengthy metaphors, and I didn’t connect to either the characters or the romance at all. In fact, even during the sex scenes I had a hard time keeping focused because it was just so boring. Added to that I wasn’t thrilled with the way male and female were portrayed in this book, which I think is mostly because it’s a bit older, but this definitely wasn’t the book for me. It felt very generic.
