Incredible read, currently reading it for the 3rd time
Being a defence aspirant and later a part of it, This book admires me on a higher note. I don't know about people who doesn't know much about special forces or Army mindset and camaraderie but I felt every single inch of this book around me. A must read!!!!

Pretty straight forward book with unique insights on a basic topic. Made me realize my shortcomings and how to effectively combat them.
WOW. This book. The battlefield stories were wild and the principles drawn from the stories are so widely applicable that I’ve been incorporating them into my life as a work-at-home mom (which I’m sure was not their target demographic but it’s THAT GOOD.)

"This is NOT a book about our war stories, this is about the leadership lessons within!" They say, spending 75% of each chapter going into extreme detail on their war stories, before tossing in an explanation of the leadership principle and a quick example of its application in business.
Despite the (unsurprising) uber-militaristic tones, a very good book on leadership. Though the principles are very simple on the surface, I think the straight forward aspect is what makes them so appealing and universally applicable.
There are many other minor flaws and criticisms I have, to the point that I briefly considered 3 stars, but the core message of the book is very good. Plus, I have an automatic bias for leadership books that go beyond the business world.
