2.5 stars: i really just skimmed through this book… i loved book 1 but the attraction between Jace and Dax felt so instant here. Nothing to work for. Boring!

I was apprehensive reading this one, as it’s part of Riley Hart’s series, but written by a different author, which I thought strange, well it turns out it was the best book I’ve read so far recently in the genre M/M romance. I absolutely loved the chemistry between Jace and Dax, also there was no should I be with this person! is it okay to be gay? they just got straight into the relationship which was fabulous. Loved it.

It was fun to be back in Fever Falls for another book, I wish I could visit it! I loved Dax and Jace together, and their journey to love was great. It had a good balance between fun lighthearted parts and the more serious parts of the story, but I did feel like everything fixed itself a bit too easily. I was glad how well their communication was, even during the more difficult moments.

Loved the characters in this one, especially Jace's confidence in just being himself. Plus, a dog makes everything cuter.
