Kept me on my toes the whole time, I never wanted to put it down! Lots of twists and turns. This book also touches on some serious societal issues too. I enjoyed how the author showed different perspectives. Great page turner!

The narrator of the Audible version was fantastic. No matter what you think of Tana’s endings, she is a masterful storyteller.
Tons of profanity. A highly unlikable main character. Very descriptive repeated volence. I listened to this on audio and felt like I had to sneak it on very low volume for 21 hours because it wasn't anything I wanted them to hear. At all. Long periods of dialog with swearwords repeated as every single part of speech. I had to finish it though. It was one of the most convoluted mysteries I'd ever read. So, that's my praise. I finished it, but I really found it hard to care about any of the characters. I felt like the author did a masterful job, but it wasn't the right book for me.
This book had a lot of elements that I usually enjoy but for some reason I just never really got engaged in the story. The writing was fine but overall I just came away with a feeling of indifference after finishing.
