This series keeps getting better and better! It's so fun and twisty and I love the narrator of the audiobooks. And the ending- FINALLY!!! I can't wait for the next book to be released in December!

The author is starting to find her rhythm with this series. The plot was generally well developed and not too convoluted, plus there was not an additional mini mystery to take up space. This book has better character development and character relationship building in a more consistent way. I did miss the interactions of the ensemble cast that made the first 2 books fun to read; it's not as present in this book.
The main characters finally share a kiss at the end of the book, so have the sequel ready to read
So far this is my favorite of the Cleopatra Fox mysteries - mainly because
It was a slow burn to get me to like this series, but I'm in it now. The character development over the series has been enjoyable and realistic, especially with the fact that everyone (mostly) gets along.

Cleo finally recognizes that she likes Harry and we don't have to deal with much more infuriating "I hate him" nonsense. It was a slow burn to get me to like this series, but I'm in it now. Cleo and Harry team up to solve the murder of one of London’s elite dress makers. It is a fun journey to unwind long buried secrets and determine who the murderer is. Looking forward to the next installment and I hope there will be less handwringing about Harry, Uncle Ronald, and Cleo’s friendships.
IF AUNT LILLIAN DOESN'T HAVE STANS I'M DEAD.
Honestly, this book might've teetered somewhere between the 3 and 4 stars if it weren't for the pleasant surprise at the end and AUNT LILLIAN.
In part four of Cleo's investigative adventures, she encounters the dead body of a famed designer at the salon! As previous books in this series, [Murder at the Dressmaker's Salon] was a lovely read.
The most shocking aspect of this book might be that Cleo was actually legitimately employed to investigate.
I love how layered the cases are in C.J. Archers works. One aspect which seemed a little off in this particular edition was the tension perhaps. I'm not quite sure, but the investigative process didn't feel as exciting or interesting as previous cases. It almost came off a little too easy.
AUNT LILLIAN THOUGH? WHAT A WOMAN! My goodness I lamented so much throughout the book. Illness withered her down so much, that we only now get to experience how witful and forward she is. You'd think she'd be the conservative, but surprisingly she is so with us. Let's not mention that I fear for the worst now... Like a last hurray before unavoidable misfortune... Let's not...
Truly this series get's better by the book. I'm manifesting Cleo's adventures to last MUCH longer
