Is surprisingly helpful! I'm not a girly girl, but I liked this all the same :)

while the actual "how to walk in heels" bit was slightly helpful, the rest of what i'm seeing is just a book on how to change yourself to please men which just doesn't sit right with me. didn't finish.

Quite funny, and surprisingly insightful at times, Camilla Morton would definitely make a great big sister or fun mum. The feminist in me is reeling at the fact that most of the book is centred around the idea that women are technologically inept when it comes to changing tyres and loading an iPod. That said, the girl/woman in me loves that it's full of giggle-inducing and surprisingly good advice about doing your nails, balancing your budget and, yes, walking in high heels.

Ladies - none of you are damsels in distress that *need* a man to help them out in life in anything more complicated than sitting and looking pretty. That said, there's no reason why we can't all try and look a little more dainty/pretty to feel good about ourselves, and for no one else. ;)

"Dangerous Book for Boys" married "American Girl's Handy Book" and their daughter is now a young lady. Published in 2006, the technology chapter is understandably outdated, and I don't believe for a second the section on high heels, but overall a great book and an excellent resource for figuring out the girl stuff.

I like the style of writing. She is funny though at times sarcastic. There is actually a surprising amount of practical advice in this book and definitely something most girls should look at.

Well ladies, if you've ever wondered about how to pick up dog poop in a stylish manner, this is the book for you! Ditto how to be stylish while suffering from a fever, on crutches, and at funerals (but sadly, not your own; that I would enjoy). I adore books about how to apply makeup and so on, although I rarely find them helpful, but this is just absurd. I hope it's meant to be funny, but I'm really not sure it is.
And yes, stilettos are definitely the only shoes to wear (except when you're on crutches), especially when you're a children's librarian. Jumping your jiggles out is taken to a whole new level in stilettos, I'm guessing. Ditto the Hokey Pokey.
There is some helpful stuff in this if you're fairly clueless, about cleaning and buying a house and so on, but nothing helpful or interesting (or even other than silly) if you're me.

My new Bible! I love it. Its humorous and packed full of great tips. Its been really useful since I've struck out on my own and don't have my Mother and Grandmother there all the time to help me figure everything else! I will make this my go-to house warming gift for any of my friends!

It's very dated and do women really care about all those things? I am definitely too old for this nonsense.
