This book is about a world where there is a service that tells you that you will die the day you die, you don't know how you die, or when but you know you die today. Two 18 year olds, Rufus and Mateo have gotten the call and become deckers, people who are going to die that day. They meet up on an app called Last Friend, and everything goes from there.

This book was beautiful. I loved it so much, I started reading this a while back before I got into reading as much as I have now and I can't believe I didn't like this at first. This book is amazing, their romance is amazingly written and it makes it seem like they've known each other for much longer than the one day they spend together. It was heartbreaking when they die. At the beginning you think you'll be able to prepare yourself but you can't. The way their development is written and their friendship that turns slowly romantic draws you in quite frankly immediately. They're both incredibly loveable and all the side characters are just as loveable. Some of the subplots felt a little random at first, but they do end up connecting all of these characters had depth to them immediately. I fell in love with the Pluto Solar System and if you haven't you will too. This book will have you sobbing, and it is definitely worth it.

It's my favorite book ever and everyone should read it. That's all I've gotta say.

I finished this book and the first words out of my mouth where "You can't end it like that, not like that." And dead ass teary eyed like I am not a crying reader this happens once every 20-30 books, but how dare Adam Silvara end this book like that. I even knew it was going to happen. The damn book title says so, and yet I was in denial.

Every single person in this book is connected, and it shows how acts of kindness affect others and how the best way to be kind is to have no expectations for returns.

The other message is to live event day like there is no tomorrow and find joy in small things.

I liked this book, but it wasn’t the best I’ve ever read. I think it definitely could have been better, and a lot of people say they sobbed. I was shocked at the way
Mateo died
. But I do like the authors note and his original draft notes. It reminds us that we don’t know when our last day is, and we should be living like it is, which is hard to do, but I definitely think it gives the reader something to think about.

Ok so... Yeah? I really had a hard time reading it. It is a great idea. Great story... I just did not really liked how it was written. It was "simple". A type of book written like "I am sad. I am afraid". Also, at first, I did not really liked the characters. I felt like they had no real personnality.

I know the author wanted to write a novel with no real main plot so it was pretty slow. Nothing was really happening. It started to be a little more interesting toward the end... However, I have to say wow for the end. I feel like the author just had an awakening. Suddenly there is things happening, the characters have a developpement. It is more complex. The writing is beautiful. The end made my entire opinion change.

I still think that it is overrated but if someone wants to really read it, then they should. It is not a waste, it is only not the best book ever.
