A common theme with Darynda’s writing seems to be this thing where she draws everything out. You and the characters have like, no ideas what’s going on. And then it all comes together. It is the most frustrating thing ever. But I love her work so much. I just sometimes wish we could all no a little more before the end of the dang book.

I don't have much to say about this book in particular. This is a cute series, however, it's definitely not as engaging as the author's other books. Though the plot is decent and the protagonist is likeable enough, I don't really connect with the characters. Either way, it's still an entertaining and enjoyable series, just not holding up to all the 5-star reviews I am seeing for it on here.
