I am so happy to be back in Ember Falls! It is one of my favourite places to be. This third book in the series, was absolutely amazing. I knew that instantaneously I was going to fall in love with Violet and Everett.
These two characters have each been through so much within their lives; each struggling (in different ways) with their parents, and relationships. Meeting when they were young, Violet and Everett formed a swoon worthy romance, but circumstances tore them apart. Now, years later, they are reunited, and looking to reignite that old flame. Violet is the one who got away, and with her return, Everett is finally ready to admit that the reason he hasn’t moved on is because of her.
I loved getting to see the progression these two shared. Everett was so kind and caring. He always made sure that those he loves and cares about are taken care of no matter what. His protective instincts kick in over Violet, but it also allowed him to admit that he still loves her.

Second chance romances are seriously some of my favorite stories and this one was no exception. Violett & Everett were in a relationship when they were teens, but that didn't last. But now Violet is moving back to Ember Falls after she found her husband cheating on her. Violet & Everett never lost that love for each other. They had something real and deep and I loved seeing them form that relationship again. Shortly after, Violet finds out she's pregnant with her ex's baby. Everett DID NOT HESITATE and still wanted to be there for her and that baby. SWOON. That man showed up for her again and again. The spice, the banter, the humor, but also the seriousness was such a good balance in this book and I absolutely ate it upppp.

This was a duet narration by Robert Hatchet & Andi Ardnt. This is the first audiobook I've listened where these two narrated together and they were absolutely fantastic. Everett is the jokester and the man who gives his friends a hard time and Robert was absolutely perfect for that part. He for sure brought the humor as well as the serious parts to life. Andi's soft, sweet voice is always one of my favorites and I loved how she portrayed Violet. These two were phenomenal!
What to expect:
🤎Childhood Friends to lovers
🤍Second Chance
🤎Found Family
🤍Neighbors to Lovers
🤎Pregnant but not his

ARC Review: Thank you to Corinne Michaels for sending me a copy to read and review
This was such a well done second chance romance!! I found myself cheering for Everett and Violet throughout the book!! This book had be feeling all the emotions.
Everett, the town vet, takes care of his mom and only has time for his ultimate frisbee team. He wasn’t counting on the girl who left him 15 years earlier to walk into that coffee shop. His world changed the day Violet came back to Ember Falls. I loved that he would do anything to see her happy. He’s also got a dirty mouth, and I’m here for it!! Seriously, Everett is the perfect book boyfriend.
Violet seems to have everything going against her. I felt for her character. Her husband cheating on her, then to find out she’s pregnant with his baby after she’s built a new life back in Ember Falls. I loved her relationship with her friends. The banter between all the characters was all around so good! I really liked how Violet stood up for herself and the family she was building.

I am so captivated by this group of friends, and each book just draws me in more and more. Everett and Violet's emotional, second chance love story is no exception. Everett and Violet were best friends and lovers growing up. When Violet left for college, she didn't think she was worthy of Everett's love and married a man she met there instead. When he ended up cheating on her in a very public way, Violet returns to her safe place, Ember Falls. Everett wasn't prepared to see Violet again, but he knew from that moment on, he would do whatever it took to win back the woman who totally owned his heart. Violet never forgot Everett either, and the way he was always there for her, made the love she thought was long buried, rise to the surface even stronger. As they start to rebuild their loving relationship, Violets' past causes a complication that will test the bonds of their love and commitment to each other. I loved this story so much! It was so romantic, emotional and passionate. I especially loved Everett and Violet together! They completely charmed me and captured my heart from their struggle to be together and be a family. They helped each other heal, grow stronger, find peace, and learn to give themselves fully to love. Their story is about life and the twists and turns it throws at you but can rise above together. This story is so alluring and seductive that you feel like you are right there and experiencing every moment.
Robert Hatchet and Andi Arndt are brilliant as Everett and Violet, delivering a performance that was completely addictive! Hatchet's smooth, deep voice, and perfect inflections made Everett come alive and made me swoon! Arndt's expressive portrayal of Violet's growth from vulnerable to strong, and determined was flawless. I was completely captivated by their storytelling as they brought these characters to life and made me love Everett, Violet, and all their friends and family even more. I loved and was totally consumed by this beautiful, touching, and sizzling romance!

This was an amazing second chance story! Second chance trope can be so hit or miss, but Corinne did it right! The banter and spice and bits of emotional parts were all so good.
The audiobook was great! The dual narration done by Andi Arndt and Robert Hatchet was spot on! I’m a sucker for a great dual narration.
Violet is the FMC and she is a bit of a mess after she found out her husband was cheating and then going through a divorce with him. On top of it, she finds out she’s pregnant by her soon-to-be ex husband (who is a piece of work by the way). Everett is a dreamy book boyfriend who is super understanding and is kind to everyone. He is also very patient.
The love that sparks (again) between Violet and Everett is everyone’s dream! This is a wonderful book that is in an amazing series!

Tropes:
- Second Chance / Right Person, Wrong Time
- Acts of Service
- Pregnancy but not his baby
- Neighbors to Lovers
- Childhood Sweethearts
- Small town
Corinne always has a way of combining all of my favorite tropes in one book 😍😍
Everett and Violet were childhood sweethearts but young love can be scary and overwhelming. She may have run from Everett but she never forgot him. They were each other’s “the one that got away.” When Violet returns to Ember Falls they finally get their second chance. Will they make it work this time or end up heartbroken?
Everett is everything!!! And him and Violet are magic. Everett loves with his whole heart and he deserves everything good. He takes care of his mom, helps animals, and his love language is acts of service. Like can you get any more perfect than that?!? Violet may have had moments of weakness at the beginning, but I loved seeing her re discover herself and her voice. She became a strong, confident woman by the end and I wanted to give her a standing ovation.
I think my absolute favorite thing about the not his baby trope is the devotion from the hero and Everett delivered. Chefs kiss!!
Ember Falls has my heart and I never want to leave!

This small town, second chance romance was amazing! There’s a twist that I absolutely did not see coming and I loved it!
Everett, GAH! I love how much he adores Violet! He is just the whole package. I loved them together as well! They were just magnetics drawn to each other. Both of them have had it rough, but man everything Violet has to deal with, with her ex was horrible. But Everett more than makes up for it 😏😏
There’s so much that happens! It’s just such a great read, that drew me in straight away! I love their friend group. And then that epilogue and bonus epilogue had me tearing up! Love this series!

✨Against All Odds✨
If Corinne writes it I’m going to read it- and LOVE IT. And this is no different- absolutely head over heels in love with Everett and Violet. They have worked their way into one of my favorite Corinne couples! The way Everett will do anything and everything for Violet… ugh that man is just perfection 🫠🫠🫠 And watching Violet finally fight for what she wants, I loved it! Plus being back in Ember Falls and getting the banter of the Disc Jocks (ultimate frisbee team) made me so happy! 10000000000000000/10 recommend!

Thanks, @corinnemichaels for the gifted e-ARC.
When Violet's husband very publicly cheats on her with his co-star, she just wants to flee the toxic Hollywood environment that somehow is making HER the villain in this story. The only place she feels safe she can escape to is Ember Falls. The only problem is that it's where her first love is - Everett , the one she left behind.
Everett is stunned to hear that Violet is back, has a job at the high school and intends to stay for a year. And she's staying at her grandmother's house that's been empty since she passed. HE was hoping to avoid her and now they're next door neighbors?
But it definitely impossible to avoid each other and soon they realize that all the feelings they once had are pretty much alive.
The Universe has a mean sense of humor and Violet finds out that her husband left her with a parting gift: a baby. A baby he doesn't want anything to do with. Guess who steps in, as he's always done for her? Everett.
Things get complicated when Violet has to head back to California and Everett can't leave Ember Falls. Can they survive a second goodbye?
I'm completely in love with Violet and Everett! Everett, the cheeky vet we've come to love, is all the green flags you want in a book boyfriend. Talk about a man who commits! Violet is someone you want as a friend and you root for her to finally live the meant-to-be HEA with Everett. LOVED IT!
We. have the text convos, Ultimate Frisbee, the Frisbee WAGs, the Hollywood shenanigans, a hero who puts family first (in whichever way it comes) and a heartwarming HEA.
Bonus: as in all Corinne's books, we get some tie in with another series. You'll love to see that Violet's bestie is Eli Walsh's daughter (We Own Tonight).
Content notes: surprise pregnancy (not MMC's baby), caregiver, death of a parent (off page), infidelity (not MCs), secondary character has memory loss issues due to a brain injury caused by a car accident
