WOW, I binged this book in a couple sittings because I could not put it down, I was so eager to see how Violet & Everett’s story ended. I truly think they might be my most favorite second chance romance I’ve ever read!!
The way Everett was everything Violet needed and more, had my heart melting. His love for her was unwavering and so tangible you could feel it on every page. And Violet was so strong to endure so much! I loved watching them come together after so many years apart, they really embodied the “it’s always been you” trope.
I feel like this book was written so beautifully, and had such a unique storyline that I hadn’t ever read before, which made me love it even more. Fans of Small Town Romance, will absolutely love this one!

I have absolutely loved this series since the beginning. Book three is the second chance romance of my dreams. I loved how literally it felt like no time had passed between them.
Against All Odds had me HOOKED and if I didn’t have a job I totally would have devoured this in one sitting.
I was laughing and tearing up through the story. I loved getting to see all of Disc Jocks and their spouses again. I thoroughly loved this addition to the series!!

Corinne, Corinne, Corinne...seriously, what do you put in your books?!? This book was SO SO good! I couldn't put it down. In fact, I binged it in one day, which is a rare thing for me these days!!!
Everett was seriously a top tier boyfriend, and I will not hear anything else otherwise. He just loved Violet wholeheartedly, gave her endless support, and was just the perfect man for her.
I loved seeing Violet rediscover herself and becoming a strong independent woman, who is still able to lean on others for support.
Their second chance story was just so perfect and I adored the two of them, their banter, the angst, plus the whole found family vibe was just perfection.

Against all Odds is a five plus star read by Corinne Michaels. Everett gets the second chance with Violet. The FMC violet left her husband due to him being unfaithful. This event is only the most to feed her ability to trust. Violets struggle with trust is a part of the plot. To find out how Everett and Violet get their second chance you must pick up the book. The plot that unravels and tells Everett and Violets story is exceptional and complex. Violet estranged husband has a role in the story. Dylan is the unlikely party in the mess. Corinne Michaels writes a spectacular story upon returning to member Falls. Violets return is set up as proof she can go home again. I highly recommend Against all odds by Corinne Michaels. Tropes found in Ember Falls series latest novel are right person, wrong time (teen years), pregnancy not his baby ( who really steps up?), second chance, acts of service, neighbors to lovers, lots of nervous baking, and childhood sweethearts. While the balance is well mixed the plot supports an exceptional character narrative. The mix of character narrative and plot always for great development of Everett and Violets characters.

Violet, on the other hand, provides Everett with balance and calm in his chaotic and stressful life because of her kindness and support. The fact that their love remains despite years of missing each other makes it less complicated for them to reconnect. In summary, they have always been meant to be together.
