The part about how to solve a cryptic message was kind of cool, I guess.

I didn't enjoy it as much as I wanted to, but it may have awoken a need to read Indiana Jones style books once again.

I listened to the audiobook along with the book, just marvellous!
Love the eeire feeling Poe's work gives off.

While I can see the attraction in the story, it was a bit of a let down for me. The characters just don't work for my modern mind. But it was the lack of real tension that made it 2 stars instead of 3.
