Warning!: drugs, violence, attempted rape, and sex trafficking.

I absolutely loved this book! It's the classic bad-boy-good-girl trope with lots of steamy moments. This book isn't perfect and definitely has its issues, but I love it. It definitely isn't for everyone and could be considered a "trashy" romance book, but if you're into those kinds of books, give it a read!

Love a British mafia book. I loved the growth of cheska and Arthur. Each character was strong in their right. Great read. Would love a book two

Holy crap I absolutely LOVED this book!!!! I knew it’d be good, but I did not expect to just devour it. I love Arthur and Cheska and all the rest of the Adley Firm. Good gracious this book just absolutely hit the spot for me. There are a few time jumps, but they are completely logical and happen chronologically rather than through flashbacks. They worked so dang well. As somebody who is usually pretty good about picking up on twists, I literally only saw one of the many coming. My jaw was on the floor the whole last 10% or so. I could not put this book down. Arthur was perfect. Such a broken boy with eyes only for his Chelsea Girl, Cheska. Don’t even get me started on his glasses, tattoos, and possessiveness. He’s gonna be a tough book boyfriend to top. I don’t care that he’s done some “bad” things. Cheska really grew on me. At first I wasn’t sure how I felt about her but she ended up being a total badass with a heart of gold. All I can say is that I immediately need another book in this world if it’s not out yet because there’s a shit storm coming for these characters and I need to know how it pans out. Tillie crushed it. I only wish it had been available on audio because it would’ve just absolutely blown me away hearing all those accents.

Another awesome story from the great Tillie Cole. I loved this book and everything it had to offer. Dark, gritty, and sexy Cheska and Arthur are dark couple goals.

The book goes through a couple of time jumps to show how connected they are to one another. Five years after initially meeting, their connection officially begins. For another five years, they remain together. I think I would have liked a bit more of this, considering what was happening in her life. Just to see how the situation rolls out. Something’s changing in her life so he stops coming and thirteen months later, she bursts back into his life, jump starting the twisty plot that is Lord of London Town.

I loved their connection and possessiveness. It’s instant, it’s gritty, and it’s romantic in the dark sense. He’s perfect with her. I enjoy how the book did the whole too-dark-not-appropriate-for-you thing, and how she challenged that and became who she was and who he needed, not what he believed her to be.

Her coming back starts a twisty plot filled with dead people who are not dead, traitors, murder, and constant questioning. It kept me glued to the pages and also guessing who could be it.

Great read and I can’t wait for Tillie’s next dark read!

dare i say a masterpiece in the genre ? i go through a lot of terrible terrible books hoping to, at some point, stumble upon such a book. powerful story, lots of passion, developed characters.... powerful women !!! and a good relationship even in the midst of chaos.
i can’t wait for the following books !!!

(funny that i found it right after being crushed by peaky blinders, because this book has the same aura, except it’s more focused on romance)

Where the heck is booked two!? This book was absolutely phenomenal! I am officially a Tillie Cole lover. I cannot wait to read other books by her! This book had drama, it had spice, it was dark, it had blood, it had violece and it had a happily ever after in the Adley underworld! I absolutely am glad I downloaded this book and was able to finish it. Bravo!!!

3 leaning towards 3,5 stars.
Lord of London Town has been compared to Peaky Blinders multiple times, which is one of my all time fave series ever so I had to pick up this book. It started off great and I really enjoyed it. The tight brotherly bond between Arthur, Eric, Charlie, Eddie and Vinnie and how they ruled the underworld together sounds like a great start to a book promising darkness and violence, which it delivered. But actions and the nitty gritty violence from the underworld aside, the romance and the lustful sex were pretty boring. The initial mysterious romance was intriguing but after the five year time jump, it kinda went downhill. Cheska’s character also felt forced and thus, a bit flat. I skimmed most of the parts of the book from around 30% to 80% of the book. The .5 stars is purely because of the last third part of the book that’s really made up for the whole story. I knew who the villain is but didn’t see those twists at the end. I really look forward to Vinnie’s story; hope the second book is about him and his ‘ghost’ girlfriend.

this book had every possibility of becoming a favorite of mine, the childhood connection, the dark characters, the tropes, but unfortunately it was boring... now I completely adored the family and I can’t wait for their books, but the main couple??? boring af, there’s no angst or even development of their relationship
