Read with the Littles

Well that was just the cutest story!

Adorable, lovely, and beautiful art. If I had kids I would read this to them.

My mother works at a learning daycare, her specific age group being under two years old. I’ve been trying to help her find kids’ books that include diversity (LGBTQ+, differently abled, racially diverse, grandparents as caretakers, etc).
This one is adorable, and has such a great message. The overall optimistic tone is great.
While it isn’t suited for under two year olds, kids at age of seeing Disney animated movies (like Tangled or Sleeping Beauty) would probably be fine with it since the only “questionable” part is a romantic look into each other’s eyes - and that’s applicable to any couple’s genders as not being right for kids under two. Plus kids that young aren’t really at the princess/prince/knight age quite yet.

"[dedication] To those who have faced scarier foes than dragons in the fight for love"

Pretty book with a great message, story is okay, nothing super exciting. Not wild on dragon fighting, and the rhyme was a little awkward at times. Would definitely still display. It's sad how revolutionary this book seems for me!

This book is very cute and put a smile on my face. It’s nice to see something like this for children.

I think it would have been better if it didn't rhyme and I was a little disappointed the story was so simple. However, I really liked the art and the premise and it was still pretty darn cute.

And they all lived happily ever after. The End.
