So cute! I loved this one so much. A prince looks for his true love and finds it finding a dragon. Mom and Dad are accepting when it is a knight and not a princess. Love this art style.

I picked this up from the library after seeing it on a list of LGBT books for children. This is a cute story about the prince finding the right person to rule beside him. I loved that his parents let him find his person on his own, to make sure they were the right fit. Another great message for kids!
Omgggg *clutches heart* this book is so cute and soft and sweet and ahhhhh!! I like that the dragon doesn’t die, even though they’re a bad dragon. I love the casual acceptance of the prince finding his knight and true love, though do think it’s sad that story starts with heteronormative narrative that of course a Princess is first option for a prince needing a partner. The art is super cute and reading this absolutely just made me smile~

More of a 4.5 because I wanted to know what they did with the dragon. My six year olds complaint was it wasn’t long enough.

SO GREAT! It’s essentially your typical prince needs to find a princess to marry story but turned around to be a same-sex marriage. The best part is that the kingdom and the Prince’s parents are totally happy that the Prince found someone perfect for him. A fantastic alternative!
This is so cute! To my fellow elementary school teachers, you HAVE to have this book in your classroom library. I love how absolutely normal Haack portraits same sex attraction, and how everyone is so happy for the prince, who finally found love.

OMG! This was an amazing story and illustration. I loved the story and would definitely reread and get my own copy. Great book!
