It may be a children's book but WHERE THE HELL WAS THIS KIND OF REPRESENTATION WHEN I WAS YOUNG. I'm so happy I read this for June (LGBTQ Pride Month). The queer children's book of my dreams

Adorable, lovely, and beautiful art. If I had kids I would read this to them.

This book is wonderful. Not only is the story fun (and it rhymes!) but the pictures are great too. It looks and feels just like a traditional fairy tale while being LGBTQ+. Everyone should read this book.

I picked up this picture book out of curiosity to see how far children's books have come since "Heather Has Two Mommies". Prince & Knight tells the story of the Prince (every handsome gay man ever who is surrounded by women who wished he was straight) who has to pick a bride to help him be a good ruler when it's his time to be King. His parents are happy to surround him with ladies of all kinds, but it's only when the Prince leaves his Bachelor Tour of the kingdom to defend his home from a dragon does he find his true love. The Knight shows up, the two realize it's love, and it's happily ever after. Prince's parents are glad he found a partner and the whole kingdom celebrates his wedding day.

I really liked the art style in the book. It reminds me of Little Golden books of Disney stories. The setting is very Euro-centric with the scenery, dragon, and a white prince and knight, but there's some diversity in the ladies Prince meets. The book never uses terms to define anyone's sexuality or gender and simply lets the reader see a prince looking for love find it in a knight.
