A lovely story that really reflects on the meaning of family and death. Loved how the relationship between Nadine and Wes was written. I do wish the intrigue was more developed.

I've read other reviews complaining that this book was too slow and too long for the story it told, but personally, that is what I loved about this one.

Hear me out.
Drop Dead felt wonderfully paced to me. It didn't try to push you into the next plot development or rush to get Nadine and Wes on the same page. It felt like a natural progression of story and relationship.

I adored this book and hearing others say this is Lily Chu's weakest work has me chomping at the bit to read more since this is my first read by this author. I picked up Drop Dead because the premise sounding amusing and I couldn't be happier that I went with my gut.
