Tbh, not what I was expecting. I have seen Jessica jones the show and I can’t tell if this character from marvel comics is better reflected in the show or the book. Felt a little disconnected… they were the same person but also not.

As for the story line, seems a little outlandish. Don’t get me wrong it was riveting, but if I were to write a novel about this character, this villain would not be even in the top 50 of popping into my head.

I have no desire to read the second one. I do love Lisa Jewel so I will continue to read her books.

I checked out this book not knowing it was part of a Marvel series, and I'll be honest, I had my doubts. I have seen a handful of Marvel movies, and they are okay (I'm probably not their target demographic, lol), but I had never heard of Jessica Jones before...I think she's a more obscure character. That said, this book read mostly like a typically Lisa Jewell novel. Obviously, the main difference was characters with super powers, and a more science fiction element. The story was entertaining and fun.
