A cute poetry book. Unfortunately like all books of poetry there are some poems I loved and some I didnt like at all. That is why its so hard to rate poetry anthologies. One of my favorites was Binker, because it so perfectly explains a childs relationship with their imagrelationship. My other favorite was The Old Sailor, I didnt expect to find anything this relatable in a childrens book but I feel this one is definitely more for adults. I would probhably never read this book again but at the same time I would reccomend this book to others. All reasonably short poems so a child wouldnt get bored, most have meaning so an adult wouldnt get bored and some are funny and silly so nobody would get bored.

What an incredibly beautiful collection of poetry and illustrations.
This is significantly different from When We Were Very Young. It follows Christopher Robyn and other children when they are a bit older. It also has a bit more Winnie-the-pooh in it. The poems themselves are a lot longer, spanning several pages, and cover more topics than the more introspective life of When We Were Very Young. The rhyming patterns were varied and interesting, and the whole thing has an innate warmness to it that is charming and delightful.
The illustrations and beautiful, and in this edition they are coloured. It really pops and adds to the whole charm.
I am so pleased that I have finished these books, though they give me a sense of melancholy that I will never be able to experience them for the first time ever again. But hey, that is part of growing up I guess.

Another set of fun poems that I would definitely enjoy more if I was younger.
