Libba Bray delivers an ambitious and immersive novel in Under the Same Stars, weaving together three timelines with her signature vivid writing. One of the most enjoyable aspects of the book is piecing together how the timelines fit. It’s like a narrative puzzle that keeps you engaged throughout.

While Miles’ storyline didn’t quite hold my interest, the timeline with Sophie and Hanna stood out as the most compelling, emotionally layered, and gripping. Jenny’s arc, on the other hand, had a refreshingly realistic conclusion that felt honest and grounded.

Despite its length, the book never dragged; Bray’s prose and structure make it a surprisingly smooth read. A smart, character-driven story with depth, mystery, and just enough emotional punch.
