Bibliophiles and writers may alternately gaffaw and cringe at the graphical insights in this collection. Readers have little to fear from him, as he chooses not to berate us very ofter for neglecting most of the other necessities of life because we are busy reading. Writers, however, come away black and blue. Often painfully fun, this makes an great gift for fellow readers, well beyond the current xmas silliness.

such a joy.

i laughed out loud at some points. my favourite definitely is the ampersand comic. i cannot wait to reread this again and discover all the things i missed the first time around because i'm sure i did! for some weird reason, i kept thinking that this would make a wonderful coffee table book.

the kind of book you want to own a hard copy for and display it on your coffee table or a special place on the bookshelf.

Meh. Sometimes it was funny but mostly it was boring.
lighthearted reflective medium-paced

Meh, I found this book boring. I thought it would be funny but it really wasn't. It was just ho-hum.

This was a fun little read. While I live Grant Snider creative mind and the inspiring art he comes up with this book would be better read in short bursts and not in one go; which I tried to do and failed. Each of the pages is super interesting but it can monotonous after a while. But if you read this as a coffee table book or at the pace of a few pages a day it's really delightful.

Adorable. 3.5

A book about books for writers and readers, in graphic novel format. This was a fun, quick read, and would make a charming gift for a fellow book-lover. Some of the comics resonated more than others, but there is definitely wit sprinkled throughout.
