Loved every page. Incredibly witty and poignant! I shared pages with people as reading it because it was soooo gooood.
Good for picking up and putting down and looking at in short bursts, and also good for aspiring writers (to remind them to start and keep writing). I appreciated the poetic elements in some of the drawings. I picked it up for the Goodreads Choice Award, and while this was nice, it gave me more instagram vibes (great in small batches) rather than a prolonged narrative like other nominees.
Perfect book for all the bookworms out there. It's funny, it's true, if you read or write or anything in between, you can't not see yourself in those pages. I really liked it.

Meh. Bit pretentious most of the time, but it had a couple fun comics.
I thought this was a cute graphic novel. I didn't read what it was about prior so I expected something different based on the title but it was still a good book.
It was quick & simple to read, It was fun but it's not really what the title say for me, I expect something else!
Fun! Much more fun than I thought it would be :)

I absolutely loved this! I found out about this book through a goodreads' list on "books about books", and I'm so glad that I did.
The writing was so indubitably witty, and all of the comics were very fun to read! The art style was spectacular, and the humor was excellent.
I especially loved the alphabet portions, and the maps (of sorts?) sprinkled throughout the book. The first 4 chapters were my favorites, and I relate to them so very much!
I didn't resonate too much with the parts on the writers, which is why I gave this 4 stars. Otherwise, this definitely deserves 5 stars!
If you're looking for a light-hearted quick read, do give this a try!

I was really underwhelmed by it. I was expecting a lot more than that. The illustrations were good but not as expected, also the title was just tiny part of the story, more so it was focused on writing, maybe I didn't like it because I wasn't in a mood for that. Who knows?? Only the boom gods know;)
