Thought I would of liked this more than I did
This was a fun, quirky read and definitely relatable to book lovers. This graphic novel will appeal to readers and writers. But, since I'm not a writer I didn't find those sections as relatable to me. It is quite humorous and rather quick to get through. If you are both a reader and a writer this would be very comical to you and right up your alley.
This is going to be unpopular, but I DNF’d this one. I scanned through a bit of it. It’s cute, I liked it, but I didn’t feel that interested in reading it, and I’ve got other reading I’d rather be doing rather than compelling myself to finish.
I thought this would be a cohesive story. Instead you get different small comics. I really liked about the 3 of them and the other weren't really for me. Ooh well.
A light-hearted illustrated essential for all bookish people. This was cute, fun and relatable! But I think writers would enjoy this more.
This book disappointed me. I thought it was going to be a fun book all about books and bookshelves, but instead it is about writing and the writing process. The ideas and themes are very repetitive. I found myself a few times wondering if I had already read a page because it felt like the same page I read just a couple of pages ago. The book also felt long, but I suspect this is largely because it felt so repetitive. It’s not a bad book, it just did not meet my expectations; however, I am going to recommend it to my friend who is an author because I think they are much more likely to enjoy it than me.
2.5/5 Some cute pages, but most reminded me of something my aunt would post on my facebook because she knows I 'like books'.
Such a fun graphic novel about: reading, writing, and books.
I love how meta it is & how much the author uses wordplay.
