Do YOU like stories where absolutely everything is spelled out for you at every turn so that you never have to burden yourself with the act of using your brain to wonder curiously about the mystery ostensively centered in this story? Do YOU enjoy love interests who exist almost exclusively to be plot devices and not fully realized characters? Do YOU enjoy narratives that allow for no room to speculate or explore the questions being answered because the author doesn’t trust you to draw your own conclusions? DO YOU ENJOY having EVERY problem have a CLEAN AND EASY SOLUTION THE PROTAGONIST DOES NOT EVEN HAVE TO WORK TO ACHIEVE? THEN THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU!!!!

I can’t believe how highly rated this was. I’ve never felt so much like I wasted my time and money. I wanted to enjoy this so, so badly, and every chapter punished me for that hope. At least it was a quick read.

A very good book! NOT QUEER TRAGEDY which i was worried about.

I loved Helen and Edith. It was so easy to root for them. Marlowe is a surprise standout fave.The vibes are very strong you can just sink into so many of the scenes.

The world was so interesting I wish there was more time to explore it. It felt like a lot of the mystery and magic elements got under explained.

I wasn’t sure what I was expecting, but Even Though I Knew The End far surpassed anything expectations, assumptions, or beliefs I may have had about it.

There’s twists, there’s turns, there’s hopeful queer representation, and angst. And I looooooove angst.

My heart broken into a million pieces and I was sobbing on the floor. The heartache is real and I absolutely adore this whole story.
