The blurb didn’t do this justice imo. It made it sound more like a situation where the mates were almost abusing their mate, and I were unsure if the HEA would be with her mates or if she would find other love interests.
And the her mates were overbearing, but they did so out of protectiveness and because the society expected certain things from their females. But once they overcame that and saw that she wouldn’t be happy if forced to be someone she wasn’t they came around and started making their way together.

You can not read about Ffion and not be curious about what happened to Shira!! I am so glad you wrote this duet , I love this story

3.5. Unique in that our FMC truly does try and break the mold and is a strong willed lady.
I've read many of Rhodes books now, and I've enjoyed them. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about such a slow-burn RH romance (literally one kiss only in the whole first book) because that seems the opposite of what a RH stands for. But...dragons. So I gave it a shot.
I'm so glad I did! It makes sense that this is a slow burn. S and her mates are fated, but that doesn't mean they know anything about each other. In fact, her guys don't even really TRY to get to know her; they just assume so much. And she has a mission that she HAS to complete. And thus they are at odds the entire book. Which I thought I'd hate because my biggest pet peeve is when characters let lack of communication be the one thing that keeps them apart. But somehow I didn't mind it this time because you can just see how much the men are hurting when they realize they went about everything wrong. And S is hurting too, staying away from them, even when she knows it's what she needs.
This book ends on a cliffhanger, but the second book is out so it's not a big deal.

I'm just so happy that there was no bully aspect to this book. Also no spice so YMMV. I enjoyed seeing Shira grow.
