Gave me the creepy crawlies - hard to listen to before bed. Definitely riveting and I wanted to keep reading! Highly recommend.
One of the best books I've read in a really, really long time. Perfect amount of paranormal for me. Relatable protagonists that I connected with. Well-paced. Satisfying ending. This book really had it all and I can't wait to read more from this author. 12/2022

I have complicated feelings about this one. It was a well-written book, I think I just had creepier expectations for something shelved in the horror section of Barnes & Noble.
There was a bit of a twist toward the end that the author was clearly building toward, but I wanted something more dramatic. I wanted one of her friends to actually be dead. I wanted Viv to be an unreliable narrator. I wanted…something. And I don’t feel like I got it.

This was good! Took a while to get into, but once I was in, I was HOOKED. I liked all of the plot twists too.

Sometimes paranormal activity in books seems extremely unrealistic to me (especially in mystery/thrillers), but this book wasn’t too bad. I was pretty entertained while reading—I liked the parallels between the two stories. Overall it just didn’t really stand out to me and some things were a little too convenient. I also didn’t feel the connection with the romance.
