It’s a very sweet book and I’m so glad it means a lot to people (like the person who recommended it to me) but I think I need more of a plot to really connect to the story and ideas it presents. Beautiful book though!

This graphic novel is perfect for all age groups. The story follows four main characters on a journey where they teach each other valuable lessons such as kindness, self-worth, and mindfulness. The illustrations are beautiful. You will find a new meaning with each reread.
Sweet
This was soft, short, and sweet — but overflowing with quiet wisdom.
What held it back for me was the visual presentation.
Some of the illustrations were simply unpleasing to the eye, and the font choice was honestly irritating.
In a book that relies so much on visual and emotional resonance, that really matters.
I believe this could've easily earned an extra star with a more thoughtfully designed aesthetic.
Still, it offered a gentle moment of comfort.
Here's my favorite quotes from the book:
"Isn't it odd, we can only see our outsides but nearly everything happens on the inside."
"One of our greatest freedoms is how we react to things."
"I am so small," said the mole.
"Yes," replied the boy, "but you make a huge difference."
"Tears fall for a reason, and they are your strength, not weakness."
"I think you believe in me more than I do," said the boy.
"You'll catch up," said the horse.
"You know," said the fox, "sometimes your mind plays tricks on you. It can tell you you're no good, that it's hopeless...
But I've discovered this — you are loved and important, and you bring to this world things no one else can. So hold on."
"Home isn't always a place, is it?"
"Always remember, you're enough just as you are," said the fox.
"Asking for help isn't giving up," said the horse, "it's refusing to give up."

I know this is more about the message, but where did all these animals come from? LOL it was very cute though and I enjoyed the drawings a lot. Some would be beautiful hanging in a home.
Absolutely perfect. Adored every second of this short little book, words and pictures. Would highly recommend, I think anyone can get something out of this book and I'm sure I'll be rereading it for years to come
This book had me tear up. Wow! “What do you think is the biggest waste of time?" "Comparing yourself to others", said the mole.” “What is the bravest thing you've ever said? “Help” said the horse.
This book squeezed my tin heart so tightly. It might be what you need to hear today.
