POV: you a nursing uni student who has an exam she need to study for so instead you buy the first book to see on TikTok cause you are intrigued by the “hair o’clock”.

It was a decent book, nice escape from doing uni work. Feel like it could have been a little long thou and more flushed out. Would love to know more about the relationship with her parents after the baby shower or after Trina moved back.

Does have small LGBTQ+ roll in one of the brothers
No condom (but is on birth control)
Small amount of angst and spice
Glad the other didn’t just make the mc get over trauma as soon as she started seeing Dennis.

Not bad but could have been better. Nothing was ever resolved with the sister, wish there had been a confrontation or just more of the h actually expressing her feelings to her sister instead it was more swept under the rug.

My real MVP of the story for me was Addison’s father for his refusal to condone Angie and Mark’s relationship,

“You weren’t faithful to Addison. Why should I trust you will be to Angie? You’ve shown you’re anything but trustworthy or loyal.”

Mark swallowed again. “We’re already married and she’s having my child. I can’t think of any words that could state my intentions more clearly.”

My dad made a chuffing noise. “You don’t have my blessing. Or my money. I will love the child, but in spite of his parents’ actions, not because of them.”

I also appreciated how the author didn’t have Addison conforming to the whole “you can’t turn your back on family” nonsense and inevitably forgiving her sister. I seriously wanted to applaud when Addisom made this comment,

“I’m sorry about my meal, but I honestly don’t have any mental space to deal with my sister crying over the consequences of her shitty life choices.”

It's DNF for me. I was genuinely bored while reading.

This book was an amazing read! Addison had to over come an ultimate betrayal by two people she thought she could trust.
She got her second chance at love with Dennis. Once they overcame the hurdles in their path.
