A really sweet Christmas romance where Suzanne finds her perfect man when she is not looking to find anyone. Jake is the perfect "fake" boyfriend right up until he realises that he is in love with the girl next door. Rufus is a great wingman for Jake and the story has lots of fun moments, cute pets and holiday food.

Holiday feelings

A great holiday read! Got me in the right holiday mood
I felt their love story was a bit quick, but I enjoyed it anyways :)

Really liked this little romantic story. Good clean and enjoyable. Willing to try another one in the series.

More of a 2.5.

This was about Suzanna and Jake. Suzanna has been burned by love before (left at the altar and bad breakups). Jake is her next door neighbor who poses as her boyfriend for her family to avoid them feeling sorry for her. This was cute, but it had several weak spots. The writing was basic. Mostly everything was told (he tells the story of his army trauma at a Christmas festival after only knowing her a week? Not likely). The fake dating (the reason I decided to read it) didn't start until 40% in. I didn't understand why her family felt sorry for her when literally none of her other sisters are dating or married? The reason the "secret" came to be revealed was confusing (she just blurted it out in front of her family?). There was sweet moments and a little bit of a plot, but it wasn't great.

I kept falling asleep while reading this, if that tells you anything.

Really enjoyed that, got me in the Christmas mood. I liked the pace at which the relationship developed (apart from how fast it was at the end but I shouldn’t be surprised at that by now). The pace of the book as a whole was great until the end where it felt like suddenly all the problems were fixed literally right after the mess happened. Otherwise, I had a great time with this.

This was really cute, but the end was a bit rushed which lowered my enjoyment.

Cute Christmas read

This book was cheesy and the conflict was really flimsy, but it was a sweet Christmas romance, perfect for the holiday season

2.5 stars - only rated at 3 because I liked it for the most part.

It started out as a cute fake relationship story but the ending was so rushed and didn't really make a whole lot of sense.

**Spoilers**

After being left at the alter once and having the next bf disappear after 10 months, shes going on about how she had the worst luck with relationships. But then after having a fake relationship turn into break up because he wasn't emotionally ready for a relationship and didn't want to have a family. Turns around again to get back together and then engaged after 5 days and has suddenly bought a house for their future kids... yeh that seems super healthy.

We all know rom coms especially movies can have that rushed feeling to it but damn that was just waaaay over the top.
