Forbidden/Second Chance Romance
This story ties together two of my favorite genres. There have been glimpses of this budding romance throughout the series. There are many secrets revealed in this one that I didn't see coming. I have to admit I wanted to thump Izzy in the forehead on numerous occasions. As always T. K. gives you all the feels. She writes great characters with dynamic personalities. Asher is totally swoon-worthy. I am in love with the Grandmother she is seriously funny. She needs her own RomCom. The author has added interesting suspense elements to this story. The flow was a little slow in places which is why I gave it 4 stars. I recommend this book to anyone with a soft spot for musicians. I am looking forward to the next book. I think that there will be even more back story.

I have been a fan of Leigh for years and this book hit every note I needed. Between the passion and angst, this book hit it out of the park for me! The suspense aspect added an extra level to the story that made it so I could not put the book down. The draw between Asher and Izzy is just wow. The passion and the depth of emotions keeps you fully engrossed in this story. I was up and down in the feels, between such highs to your heart being ripped out. But Leigh builds you back up and makes you all whole. I was absolutely blown away by this story.
As a whole, this book hits everything you need in a story. I couldn’t put it down once I started. All I can say is this is a book that needs to be read. It is hard to describe anything about this book without wanting to scream from the roof what exactly happened!

Dangerous games ARC

Definitely worth 5 ⭐️

“I’ve been searching my entire life for something when it’s been right in front of me all along.”

If you know me personally you know that I LOVE LOVE LOVE Musicians, I listen to any kind of music, I love looking at every hot musician out there (especially Asher) and when I saw Dangerous games was about a Musician I had to sign up for the arc. To actually get it was a dream

i liked it a lot! loved the whole rockstarish vibe and it kind of reminded me of John Mayer if it makes sense?! I tried to ignored the whole cheating and emotionally cheating here and the competition between brothers because this kind of drama is not for me but I adored Asher and his grandma.

This story played on my heart strings, giving me all the feels. I loved the chemistry between Asher and Iz, and yelped when they got it together. TK knows how to hook you by the emotions and drag you along for a ride.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It’s apart of a series, but doesn’t need to be read in order to understand or follow along the storyline in this book.

I have been waiting for Izzy and Asher's book for a while. I knew for sure that they would burn my socks off with their chemistry and attraction.

I wasn't wrong in what I had expected from these characters. I definitely got more than what I expected. Their story, both past and present, is definitely filled with angst and sexual tension. They were destined to burst at some point.

The personal revelations in this book left me with a smile on my face. I love that although each person takes responsibility for their own actions, they all can also accept that each one of them played a part in a chain of events that shouldn't have happened. Not many authors give their characters that much character. Usually fingers are always pointed. So kudos to Leigh for giving these characters such great qualities.

Overall, this is a good book filled with love, love lost, regrets, redemption, and forgiveness. It did move a little slow for me, but I still enjoyed it from start to finish.

This is an emotional rollercoaster with lots of angst. Asher, Jessie and Izzy have history and the more the story plays out the more tangled the web of their past becomes. Their story has everything, there is forbidden love, second chances, romance, sex, heartbreak, family drama and of course a HEA.

A fantastic story with amazing characters, and of course full of music. I love rockstar romances, and Asher York is one of the best ones I’ve seen portrayed.

This is who he is. Gentle, compassionate, benevolent. But also hungry, passionate, salacious.

And incredibly talented! None of the moody and cocky songwriter behavior, addicted and entitled. Character characterization in this book was fantastic, I knew who everyone was and how they acted. When Asher was playing gigs at a bar, he focused on a Latina girl who fascinated him. He kept looking at her but procrastinated on approaching her, and lost her to his younger brother Jesse. Isabella and Jesse dated for two years and broke up. Fast forward eight years, and all of a sudden, when Izzy goes on a bachelorette trip to Las Vegas, they find each other again.

From here on, we’re treated to a passionate story of forbidden love. Jesse and Asher are very close brothers, best friends. Asher is on the edge of finally getting his dream of making it into the music industry and Jesse is his manager. Isabella wants Asher, Asher wants Isabella, but they don’t want to betray Jesse, who is still hung on Izzy. Above all, Isabella doesn’t want to get between two brothers because as an adopted daughter, she values family above all else.

This seems like an impossible situation, where we have instances where Izzy and Asher are together and you feel the profound love they have for each other, then you have another scene where Jesse tells her he will always wait for her. With such perspectives, Izzy dithers and runs from conflict, and suffers heartbreak. This is one book where all the main characters hurt and lost a little, but there was also a lot of love running around. There are Izzy’s girlfriends, who are always there for her, and Asher’s and Jesse’s grandmother who is a hoot and a firecracker. She’s ninety going on eighteen. Everyone should have a grandmother like her!

The book was slow and dragged during the first half of the story. Izzy irritated me with all her dithering and doubting of herself. She kept running and crying. Also, the excessive wordiness in the narrative put me off in the beginning because it kept repeating the character’s feelings ad nauseam and I felt like we weren’t getting somewhere. Finally, the action starts with some lovely plot twist and finally, the pace picked up. The last 15% of the book was an outstanding read, full of suspense, surprises, and a third chance at love for our friends.

Holy angst,Batman!
This book was intense. From the beginning it’s was angst, angst and get this, more angst. I felt so frustrated, but you should have seen me when everything fell into place. So totally worth it.
TK Leigh did it again. I fell in love with her characters and Asher is all mine. #dibs.
