This book was very slow, but it had amazing characters and character development.

The story was good. Ending was alright. I expected it to be better than it was but it was still alright.

quite good. a lovely ending

This book had me in so many knots. I got about half way through it, and then I had to flip to the back to make sure the ending wasn't too depressing, because I was having panic issues and couldn't continue. I had a perpetual stomach ache the entire time I read this, because of how real and heartbreaking the book managed to be.

I loved it. I loved Riddle (oh, Riddle) and Sam, and Emily, and the wonderful magnificent Bells. I was completely and utterly creeped out by Clarence, and Bobby was just such a slimy jerk. I became so wrapped up in this book so quickly that I had to put it down and walk away for a few days because it was affecting me so intensely.

This is an absolutely stupendous debut, and I cannot wait to see what Holly Goldberg Sloan writes next. If it's even half as good as this, I'll be there in a flash.

This was a really weird book. I really enjoyed it, but it was really weird.

Throughout the course of the novel there are multiple points of view; a lot of them recurring but some of them are completely random and we only meet once.

The characters are unique and that makes them more realistic.
At the start I really liked Bobby; I didn't like him with Emily, but I liked him. At the end he was a real dick.
Clarence was a difficult character, but he has a mental illness so I couldn't help but feel sorry for him because he was doing what he thought was right.
Riddle was just so cute and perfect.
The Bell family were lovely, if a bit obsessive at times - but they always had the best intentions.
Sam is too hard to describe because he is so unique.
Emily annoyed me because I am a firm believer that no person should allow anyone else to make them feel bad and she mopped around a lot without Sam.

The rating is closer to a 3.5. Full review to come. *I won this book on Goodread's First Reads Giveaway.*

This book was amazing!
It doesn't really look too much like my type of book, and the only reason I read it was because I read Counting By 7s by Holly Goldberg Sloan and I loved that too.
But wow, it is so much more than a romance for teens.
I love the way Holly Goldberg Sloan writes. She doesn't just give you the main character's viewpoint, or even just 2 main characters' viewpoints.
She gives you everyone's viewpoint.
It had so many lessons in it. It covered people with learning disabilities, maniacs, nurses, competitive people, old people, young people, everyone.
She writes mostly about emotions, feelings of the characters and it is so real.
It was a happy book, and that was nice and easy to read.
I would definitely recommend this book.
