I've honestly never read anything like this book. I love that it's a romance but it's definitely not cliche. I love that everything in this story is connected, and the minor characters have stories just as rich and intricate as those of the main characters.
terrible la segunda mitad me ha dado ansiedsd y me he saltado como unas 40 páginas
Best YA book I've EVER read.
Taken from back of book:
EMILY BELL believes in destiny. To her, being forced to sing solo in the church choir - despite her average voice - is fate, because it's while she's singing that she first sees Sam. At first sight, they're connected.
SAM BORDER wishes he could escape, but there's nowhere for him to run. He and his little brother, Riddle, have spent their entire lives constantly being uprooted by their unstable father - that is, until Sam sees Emily. That's when everything changes. As Sam and Riddle are welcomed into the Bells' lives, they witness the warmth and protection of a family for the first time. But when tragedy strikes, they're left fighting for survival in the desolate wilderness and wondering if they'll ever find a place where they can belong.
first thoughts after reading this book: Who knew such a good book was ever written?
Seriously, no joke ... after reading it, I just sat there for ten minutes contemplating the differences of Sam and Emily's lives but in the end, they still intertwine somehow ... it's amazing.

Great story! I get the whole "every action no matter how small has an affect on the world". The author did a great job at showing that, the only thing I didn't like was that it seemed a little drawn out and then the ending was fulfilled but so short. We spent the entire book having every detail described and the end was just basically a summary. But over all I recommend this book :)
I got this book at the local library. Honestly, I read the cover and wasn't interested, based on that. I looked around at everything else, and then came back to the book. I don't know why, but something made me pick up this book that day. And I can honestly say I'm happy I did.
In the book, Sam and Riddle made Emily's world sharper. I feel like the same thing has happened to me, reading the book. Sam and Riddle live a sad life, and things change for Emily when they show up. But Emily changes their lives too.
I could feel the empathy described by Emily that Sam had through each word that was told in his point of view. In Riddle's, it was innocent but the emotions he felt were raw and overpowering.
I'm not going to spoil the book, but it made me yell at the characters. Usually, when this happens, it means the book is absolutely amazing. If you pick this book up, and the cover doesn't interest you, get it anyway. You will not regret reading it.

Sam has spent his life moving from place to place with his unstable father and his little brother, Riddle.
Riddle doesn't talk much but draws incredibly detailed pictures of the insides of mechanical objects.
Emily meets Sam and Riddle and the 3 lives quickly become entwined.
When Sam and Riddle's dad finds out, however, he goes off the deep end and somebody is going to have to pay the price...
A bit difficult to get into at first, but the character development is strong. Pace at the end feels rushed compared to the beginning, like there is so much trying to be crammed into too few pages - but I wouldn't have wanted the book to be any longer.

I know you aren't supposed to, but I chose this book based only on it's cover...and I loved it! It's one of the best books I have read in a long time. I love how you are able to see the story from different perspectives, and how they overlap. I definitely recommend this book!!
I'll Be There by Holly Goldberg Sloan was a very nice, heartfelt novel about the different kinds of love.
Emily Bell is 17 years old. She doesn't really like boys or dating or singing. But when her dad forces her to sing in the church choir, she meets eyes with a boy in the back of the church who seems to be able to see into her soul. After that, she becomes devoted to tracking him down.
Overall, I enjoyed it, but I still had a couple problems with it. I would probably classify this as a younger young adult novel or (more likely) an older middle grade novel.

I loved the writing in this book. The descriptions of the characters really brought them to life. It reminded me of a modern day fairy tale.
